Heres are some good questions:

1 What kind of running shoes should i buy?
2 How often do i replace my  running shoes?
3 Do i need spikes?
4 How often should i wear my spikes if i do get them
5 how often should i replace spikes?

Question 1:

well the answer is easy sometimes and sometimes hard. it depends on your feet. The easiest thing to do is to go to your local running wear shop and ask someone there. i can almost guarantee that someone there should know what they're talking about and what to recommend.

question 2:
replace your running shoes usually once a season but you could do it less or more depending on on how much you run. in general here is a scale. these could be wrong if u treat your shoes badly or do not have a very durable shoe.

25 and below miles a week: 8-9 months
25-40            miles a week: 6-7 months
40-60            miles a week: 5-6 months
60+               miles a week: at most one season of xc or track

also there is always a test if u cant tell if a shoe is worn out or not. grab to the toe and try bending it to where you ankle would be if you were wearing it. if it bends easily its time for anew pair.

question 3:

first of all spike are shoes that are saved for only races or hard workouts at the end of the season. they have metal spikes on the bottom that you usually need to screw in yourself and they take off a little time in a race that is not on cement by providing more traction allowing you to exert less energy. they also help a lot in sprinting.

this is the easiest question. will u be doing races that are on grass or rubber? if yes spikes or nice to have but are not required. they don't take an extreme amount of time but they are especially important in sprinting, though distance spikes do exist, in fact i own and regularly use a pair.'

question 4

i answered this a little in the last question but one should wear spikes during races with little or no cement and (tracks are made of rubber don't worry) hard workouts at the end of the season on a track

question 5
ahhh the good thing about spikes. regularly it can cost up to 150+ to replace a running shoe. unless you literally destroy the shoe spikes or built durable and flexible so the only thing someone usually needs to replace is the spikes themselves which u replaces whenever they get dull. (test this by simply putting your finger on the edge of the spikes. all you have to do is a buy a new set of spikes that usually cost around 10- 20 $ at most.

if you have questions or concerns or even just stories please leave it in the comments below and I will get back to u as soon as i can. also dont forget to follow my blog please!!!!!!

keep running!

  1. You should write about our track team and the track season or something like that. Or your goals for this season to make the blog more personal. Idk
